Anna Papamichael is a Partner in the Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) practice at EY Cyprus, with over 15 years of experience in tax compliance and advisory services. Since joining EY Cyprus in 2008, she has developed extensive expertise in direct taxation, specializing in the banking, insurance, financial services, construction, and real estate sectors. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics and Accounting and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Throughout her career, Anna has led and delivered a broad range of projects covering the full spectrum of direct taxation. She advises banks, insurance companies, and construction and real estate businesses on complex tax and regulatory matters, helping clients navigate strategic initiatives, compliance requirements, and day-to-day operational challenges. 

Anna has played a key role in significant restructuring projects involving leading financial institutions in Cyprus and has led tax due diligence engagements for both buy-side and sell-side transactions in the banking sector. She also provides tax planning and structuring advice in relation to the acquisition, holding, disposal, and restructuring of assets, including immovable property portfolios managed or repossessed by banks and construction companies. Her extensive experience enables clients to address complex tax challenges while achieving their business and regulatory objectives.
